This week I took the kids to tot swim at our local pool. And by local I mean it's walking distance from our front door. (Have I mentioned how much I love it here and all of the things we get to do??) I was scared about juggling two at the pool but my neighbor friend who also has 2 kiddos was going so we juggled and managed together. We had an awesome time and I'm so thrilled I didn't let the fear of the unknown keep us from going. Yes, it's chaotic. Yes you always have to be juggling and you have to keep your eyes peeled the whole time.... in two different directions. But it was worth it. I bought us all new swim gear last weekend and we were all ready to go! Miss Eliza Belle slept the whole time so she didn't even get in the water. She did get to model her new suit earlier in the week, though.
She makes me giggle.
I wet her hair down for this pic. The minute it dries, it goes back up...LOL
Xavier showing off his sweet new outfit.
Xavier at the pool...having a blast!
The pits:
*Adam has been in the field all week. It's getting easier with each field exercise but I'm so ready to see him this evening!
*Eliza has to get a flu shot today. =( I hate shots.
The Peaks:
*The kids and I have slept amazing this week. It's the first week that Adam has been away that we'e all slept great. Yay!
*We've been to the skating rink, swimming pool, park, etc. We've had such a fun filled week!
*It's Friday. Enough said!
I told you it would get easier! :-)
ReplyDeleteYeah, its tough for a while but several months into it, it becomes kinda normal. I'm so glad it was easy for you to manage them and are having SO much fun in VA! :-D
It does get easier- you were right...LOL. I think the first 2 months are the hardest, than you find your routine and accept it more...LOL. I still can't believe we're more than halfway done and after this week Adam's company is the next to graduate. Crazy!
ReplyDeleteWe military wives adapt and overcome! LOL. I have so much respect for you mommy's to get through TBS. Every time I would start to get down I'd think of my friends in the past, or future that would go through it and remind myself that my time at TBS could have been 10x more stressful! Your attitude has been awesome through the whole thing Bailey, you're a strong woman :-)
